NOVO has teamed up with Rebuilding Together Peninsula for their event: Dreams Happen 2017. The biennial fundraising event is hosted each year by Stanford Shopping Center and pairs architects near and far with builders to create unique, elaborately designed, life-sized children’s playhouses. These playhouses are auctioned at the Dreams Happen Gala and Playhouse Auction on June 3rd, 2017 where guests enjoy a moonlight supper and dance the night away under the stars. All proceeds benefit Rebuilding Together Peninsula to improve the homes and lives of low-income neighbors in need by creating safe and healthy living environments.
The “Splash Trolley” designed by AP+I Design and built by NOVO Construction is inspired by the Golden State Warriors and pays homage to the success and legacy of the basketball team and its Bay Area Roots. The Splash Trolley features a conductor’s seat in the front and an outdoor basketball hoop on the back for fans to play. On one side of the trolley, young fans can rock climb. Inside the loft, fans can have their own private game in a mini basketball court with courtside seats. A model locker room is also a feature to proudly display Warriors memorabilia. Finally, a large plasma TV keeps lively visuals for young fans to catch up on their games. After a long day of exploration, they can unfold the spacious loft bed for a nice nap, dreaming of the endless possibilities of someday being a part of the Bay’s Team.
